May I add to the very short list of things I am scared of: Boredom.

I have never ever been bored in my life. For that I am, unfortunately, too interested in too many things. Yet. There are spheres of life (not necessarily my own) which have potential to bore me. I can see it on the horizon. Like a rainbow. Only less enchanting.

I don’t like it. And when I don’t like something I revert to the toddler with a tantrum I never had. So, my wish to live life backwards appears to have been granted.

  2. I knew a wonderful pupil who wrote a poem for the School Newpaper on the topic of boredom….. it was a scathing critique of the way English education was (is) going and her teacher (not me) First line is all that I can remember: ‘I am bored with being bored …’ there was something about having to learn what she already knew and not being allowed to tackle her boredom by losing herself in books…..
I got into trouble for allowing the kids to publish it…… despite the head teacher being amused.

  3. I’ve never been bored either, even with no props. My brain/imagination/inner scenarios/alternative universes/replay of memories/moments/ keep me entertained.
Though I fear losing my sight. And my hearing.Never my mouth.
