“This is fresh. So please forgive me if more guided by emotion than rationale.”

That was yesterday.

Today’s update: Please see follow up post “Blot on my landscape”.

I will answer those who commented so very thoughtfully. Just give me a minute or a little longer.

    • Wait till I get round to yours. Yes, I am alive. How about my mother?

  2. I, too, am happy to know that you are still alive and kicking. Was beginning to worry about you. And your eye. I guess I still need to worry about your eye. 😦

As for parents. My mom is 81. She has her quirks. And I could let them get on my nerves, but I think about the younger woman who gave up so much to raise up three girls on her own after her husband killed himself, and I just have to cut her some slack–within reason, of course. If she became belligerent, well, I’d have to reassess the matter, but as long as she stays just quirky, I’ll give her that. I owe her that.

I doubt very much, however, my son will see things this way when I get old and quirky!

  3. I’m already “old & quirky” & I’m also 81. (I’m not making this up.) My quirk is I can’t stop being a mom & giving advice. My daughter said,” I already know all your opinions.”

  4. Having gone through similar situations during the long, drawn out death of my wife I can sympathize with your feelings and frustration. It simply was what it was. Unfortunately I did not have the luxury of hanging up the phone and walking away from it all. The frustration seemed to come on in waves. Of course it is all compounded by your worries about your health. Maybe a large heavy punching bag would give you the release you need – 🙂 Hang in there just not yourself

  5. A short and sweet answer to your question; No, there isn’t.
