I need to change my blog name. Bitch on the Blog, for all its alliteration, is tiresome. Whether you (that’s me) do or don’t live up to other people’s expectations to deliver the goods you (that’s me) have another thing coming.

Blip on the Blog?

  1. You have put up with all the nasty comments about it up until now, why would you change?
Blip on the blog is perfect if you must change

    • Indeed, Kylie, I have put up with the extraordinary. Not here. In the comment boxes of bloggers who feel so clueless, who have so little imagination that their finger is ever ready on the delete button. If they knew the disdain I feel for those who can’t put one coherent argument together, instead resorting to swearing and sending you to the chambers they … I don’t know… probably wouldn’t recognize themselves.

I am not easily exhausted, yet, as they say in the motherland (and the Bible which provides many a useful metaphor): “The pail keeps going to the well till it breaks”.

You are right. We have to stick by our guns. Particularly if it’s more hit than miss.

  2. Blip on the blog is fine, but Bitch on the Blog is better.

    • Agreed. Why scale down when I can scale heights whilst scratching?

      • Shoshanah, let me rephrase that: Why scale down when I can scale heights whilst ruining my finger nails?

  3. “Blip on the blog” is fine, to illustrate the random, mystery, spontaneous.
Sometime I read to your older posts, though first time commenting.

    • Hi, Tikno. It’ll never do to hide one’s bomb shell behind a curtain.

  5. Bitch on the Blog certainly draws people in, says she who is fairly new. ‘Blip’ diminishes you somewhat but it is your choice. Don’t worry what people think be yourself 😉

    • “Worry” what people think? Dear Thelma – chance be a fine relief at times.

  6. I remember the early days…. and what I assumed were the reasons behind the choice of title…… Blip seems too diminished to me…… You can hardly call it Blot on the Blog… well… maybe.

    • Dearest Daphne. Yes, the early days. If only people would recognize fun before they trip themselves up.

Thanks for the laugh, Magpie. “Blot” on the blog? Why didn’t I think of that?

Not so much al blotto as stained yours,

  7. The brain is too old to accept a change. How will we find your new blog address? Then there are all the archives that must be relinked. And all the explanations that will be needed. We will also have to wonder about the new U vs the old U. It all sounds overwhelming – a bit like Brexit.
