Edison and I share two traits: Few and far in between light bulb moments and never giving up. It’s bloody exhausting.
On the whole I’d rather be Newton or Archimedes. One – caught in his dreams – sitting underneath a tree when gravity offers him an apple for dessert, the other displacing water by his body mass giving him that Eureka moment. Imagine Archimedes had had a shower instead. We’d still be falling off that flat plate that got Galileo Galilei into so much trouble.
Being of an age when Sunday traditions were observed (no trade) today I am free roaming,.doing things of little consequence and totally unnecessary – just because I like doing them, and at a pace so leisurely a snail would have a hard time to beat me.
